As our colleagues will share, it is an interesting time to be a part of the ever evolving world of health promotion and the expanding field of population health.
Both concepts, however, are rarely examined for their assumptions about social change processes or the potential of community groups, professionals, and institutions to create healthier living situations. I shall begin with a definition of health which will provide a platform to then discuss what health means to me personally and how my lifestyle choices have impacted on my health maintenance.
